Staying Calm

This week has been challenging, tiring, and exciting! My mom and I went to my final dress fitting on Monday. I was less shocked by the snug fit of the dress this time, but my mom did admit she could see why I was a little freaked out! That sucker is on me and is not going anywhere. If anyone wants to meet me at Peachwave after the wedding, I plan on indulging in dessert again after the wedding. Actually, I don't plan on being a bride that doesn't eat cake on her wedding day! I love the cake we chose and I can't wait to eat a piece, probably a small piece, but still a piece.

Also on Monday, another big thing happened. I landed a new job! Call me cray for taking a new job 2 weeks before a wedding, but I really needed this. My new position is with Republic National Distributing Company and I will be a Wine and Liquor Sales Representative. I will be working a lot with fine dining in Tulsa. I will be able to office from home and make my own schedule. You have no idea how much I am looking forward to this! I spent 2 hours yesterday getting all kinds of tests and physicals done, so let's hope I pass those and they don't find anything on my background check :)
My last day at my current job is Oct 2nd, and I start the new job Oct 10th.

I am so excited to decorate my office space! The guest bedroom upstairs has a built-in desk that I plan to use. My imagination is running wild with ideas for it! I need to find a cute chair for the desk, and I love browsing all the cute prints on Etsy. My bathroom is already Paris themed, so I think I will go with bright colors for my office space.

Wednesday night I drove to Muskogee to meet with Steve to plan the ceremony. It took about an hour to go over the entire wedding ceremony. I didn't realize how many details go into planning these things!

Finally got my engagement ring back last night after a week without it. I missed it so much! Tonight is my Tulsa bachelorette party with Christy, Lilia, Sara and Olivia. I am wearing the same white dress that I wore in Dallas because 1) I love it and 2) I need to stop buying a new dress every time I have something to do, oh and 3) I have gotten so many compliments on it. I want to get good use out of a white party dress while I can!

I have been trying to stay calm in the midst of chaos. Kyle is really great about talking me down when I feel like I am losing my mind. Men can be so irritating at times when they are all calm and relaxed and act like things aren't a big deal, all the while I am going crazy and feel like I just need to sit in a dark room with a glass of wine! I am thankful I have someone who is caring enough to let me talk crazy, and then watch NY Med with me once I calm down.

  1. Super-congrats on your new job!! :D Absolutely love both of those prints. And I totally agree with you about how great it is to have a guy that lets you stress out to him: Mr. E is the same way (and he also watches TV with me once I calm down too! :))
