John Legend

So here is the story....
My friend Tasha invited me to go to the John Legend concert last night (front row seats). I excitedly accepted cause I love love love John Legend and I also have never been front row. So a couple songs in he says "Men, grab your ladies cause we need to dance to some love songs tonight" and he started to sing. He got up from the piano and said "I think I need a girl to dance with". Tasha started pointing at me and he looked down at me and said "Come on up here baby". (AHHHHAHAHA! )that is me being so excited just telling you the story!
So I am helped on stage by his body guard and we start to dance. He is singing and we are grooving and i didn't even have time to get nervous. Looking back at it, I have no idea how I wasn't freaking out. We dance the whole song and as I am about to walk off stage, he says "come over here girl" and gives me a rose and holds the mic to me and tells me to say my name. Then he hugs and kisses me and takes me back to my seat. It was the coolest thing that has ever happened to me! I knew several people that were at the concert and I started getting texts and people were already facebooking me.
Tasha took some pics with her phone and Grant got a video but I haven't seen it yet. I am riding out my 15 min of fame! I was the most popular girl leaving the show Monday night.. and the president of my company was there with his wife and he has been talking to me about it all day. So anyway, if you wanna hear the story in detail you can call me. If not, I'm sure I will tell it every chance I get for the next 25 years.
I swear I could not be more excited to tell people abou this! I don't even care if I get annoying cause seriously people, when does something like this happen to someone (i.e.- me).
I have become slightly more obsessed with John Legend than I already was and have already planned my life if he calls and says "You were the best part of that concert, come away with me". Ok, that probably won't happen but a girl can dream.
If you have never heard John Legend, I recommend you listening to some of his songs. My favorites are "Stay with Me", "Green Light", "Used to Love You" and "Ordinary People".
And last, I have to give a shout out to my girl Natalie for introducing me to John Legend years ago. She burned me his cd and I have loved him ever since. So Nat, this ones for you....Cheers!

Tuesday (My new favorite day)

Tuesdays are wonderful. We have decided to take that night and make it a fun night to do whatever we want. We can go eat, or go skating, or see a movie, or whatever our little hearts desire. Tonight is dinner at PF Changs (I freakin love this place) and then mabe headed to the bookstore for a little browsing. Elaina and I love books and we could spend hours in bookstores.

This past weekend I went to my parents and helped take care of Lauren and Allison. It was so much fun and we only hit a few kinks and only had a few screaming fights. Nothing that I am not used to or can't handle. I love my nieces and family so much and wish I could see the girls every weekend. It is gonna be about 4 weeks until I get to see them again :(

This weekend I am headed to Dallas to do some more wedding planning with Katie. Man, I wish she lived closer...I swear we would be attached at the hip... Kristin too. We could be quite the trio.

Wicked

Wicked was so good last night! The show was sold out.. not an open seat in the house. My mom, grandma, and I went and my mom and I loved it while my grandma (Deeya as we call her) did not like it. No wait let me clarify, she said she "hated" it. She couldn't understand the words and she thought it was awful. Oh well, we liked it and had a great time anyway!

Not too much on the agenda this weekend. Having some Happy Hour drinks with my friend Julie after work today and then hopefully hitting the hay early tonight. I need to accomplish a lot tomorrow. Laundry, cleaning house, birthday party, store, wash car, maybe do a little retail therapy :)

Flashback to the Old Days

Thank goodness it is Thursday.. one day away from my relaxing, solitude-filled weekend. Both the roomies are out of town so it is just me and the 2 doggies (God rest Bailiff's soul).

Sophie really enjoys the weekends like this cause she gets the star treatment. She gets to sleep in and she gets a bath. She also gets to spend a lot of time in the house following me around. Her favorite exercise regimine is to follow me from room to room.

Last weekend was supposed to be "Girls Night" but my friend Billy threw the dynamic off a little. That was ok though cause Billy is hilarious and we love having him around.
We went to dinner and then hit up the dance floor at Grey Snail. Oh and if you are in the Tulsa area and have not eaten Don Fransico's on 11th and Pittsburgh, you need to. Best guacamole in town.

Tuesday, the roomies and I decided to hit up the skating rink in Sand Springs. We had so much fun! I will post some pics as soon as I can. It was about 100 degrees in the place and we were sweating and skating and dancing to the music! I thought I would fall but I picked it back up pretty easily. It was a great night with the roomies and we were glad to get out and do something different.

Tonight, my mom and grandma and I are headed to the Tulsa PAC to see Wicked. I am really really excited. I have heard great things about it!
