I feel like I should have something to talk about. But for some reason, I don't. Could it be that I am a little overwhelmed with life right now in several different aspects? Or could it just be that I am taking a break from my verbose blogging habit? Also, I find it difficult to post something without pictures.
My boss if off work today and I really should be catching up on tons of work. Instead I will force a blog post.
My roomie Elaina just asked me a question: "Do you think that you find people more or less attractive based on regional preferences?"
She wants to know if I find a Northerner as cute as a Texas boy. And no, generally I don't. I like Southern charm. And I like a man who goes outside and throws the football around and gets a tan and then goes to the bar in a pair of nice fitting jeans and boots with his button up shirt on but the sleeves rolled up a bit. My dream Southern boy, you ask? Tim Riggins from Friday Night Lights (see, I couldn't do a post without a pic)
What about you my friends? Do you have preferences regarding your man? Come on, you know we all do!
And I am not gonna say that I nice Northern boy can't sweep me off my feet, but for the most part, I am more attracted to a Southern boy.
P.S.- If you don't watch Friday Night Lights, you really should. Tim Riggins will make you fall in love with him.

I realized I haven't blogged in a week and I only have one reason for that: I have nothing interesting to say. I know, hard to believe, right?
So that my loyal followers don't go hungry for too long, this post will be a meaningless update to my life for the past week.
Friday: July 16th- Caravan. Oh yeah
Saturday July 17th- Momma in town. Bought coffee table, 2 end tables. Got sweaty moving furniture. Out to Bakers St. Pub. Wore my romper.
Sunday July 18th- Pool day.
So that was a recap of last weekend. I hope the pictures do it justice.
This week has flown by. My co-worker Amber is out so I am pulling double duty and raking in a little overtime, which is good right now since Target seems to be directly linked to my bank account.
In some exciting news, Elaina's sister had her baby today! This is baby boy #2 for Kaci and Tanner. She was scheduled for a C-section tomorrow but her water broke at 3AM Thursday morning. Townes Victor Fleming arrived a little after 6 AM. And he weighed 10lbs 14oz. I am not lying. Look at that little linebacker!
Float trip planned for this Sat. Its our kickball float trip with a few extras added. I haven't been floating in about 5 years, let's hope I can successfully navigate our raft down the ole Illinois!

A Day at the Aquarium (without Mommy and Daddy)
Bryan and Erin were out of town last weekend and Grammy and Pappy watched the girls. And everyone survived :)
We spent the day at the Jenks aquarium with the Farmer's and then Sunday we played at the pool all day.
Both the older girls are so tan that they look like the Coppertone girl:
Happy summertime!

Things I Wish I Had Known at 21...or any age
You know I love a good list. Whether it be a to-do list, or a list of things I love, or a list of things I want to buy, I love lists.
My new favorite website, The Frisky did a story on things they wish they knew when they were 21. I will use some of theirs and a few of my own. Ready....go!
1. Leaving home for college is hard. But so worth it.
2. Beer is an acquired taste.
3. Texting can be confusing. Sometimes it is better to call.
4. Buying one size too small won't make you lose weight any faster- stolen from The Frisky
5. Don't change your personality, schedule, expectations for a guy.
6. Save up your babysitting money, it will come in very handy one day when your grandma sends you to Paris
7. Find the oil changing place that has a ladies day. The discount is amazing.
8. If your gut tells you he is cheating or about to break up, you are probably right.
9. Contain the crazy to loyal friends and your mother or close relatives- they won't judge you.
10. Relationships are not supposed to be hard in the beginning. - stolen from The Frisky
11. If he is thinking about you, he will text or call.
12. In this day and age, if he calls, he is interested. Texting past 11 PM is a booty call.
13. Breaking off an engagement/relationship that does not make you happy is hard to do, but needs to be done
14. If you hate your job, find another one. Life is too short to work and be miserable all day- stolen from The Frisky
15. 2 glasses of water and 2 Advil will make you feel much better in the morning after a night of drinking- Stolen from The Frisky
16. Facebook can be really evil sometimes. Control your stalking.
17. Sometimes, keeping the peace is so much better than being right. -stolen from The Frisky
18. Good friends are essential to life. Find them, keep them, nurture the relationships
19. Sleep while you can. One day you will have babies and won't ever sleep again.
20. Enjoy being single while you are. ( I could elaborate on this one, but I won't)
21. Go home and visit your parents. They love you being home again.
22. Learn manners and etiquette, it will benefit you so much.
23. Heartbreak hurts, and then it goes away. It might happen again, so be prepared.
24. Wear clothes that look good on you. Shop sales if necessary, but it is ok to buy a good pair of jeans.
25. Build a relationship with your brother's wife/sister's husband.
Maybe I should have titled this Words of Wisdom from Heather or something like that, but I just copied the idea I saw online.
To end, here is one of my favorite pictures of all time from Katie's wedding. I hope my brother and sister in law don't mind if I kidnap their offspring.

What Happened?
My life has been a whirlwind for the past 2 weeks. Let me recap you on what has happened.
1. I moved. 'Nuff said.
Elaina & I moved 7 blocks to the north to a cute little 2 bedroom house. It has no dishwasher and I am sad about that. And it has no doggie door but it has charm and the living room is painted yellow and it is not in our old scary neighborhood.
The move began last Thursday night when I got off work. I went to the gym and got all sweaty and then started moving my closet. This new house may be smaller but the closet are legit. I am so thrilled about that. So I moved my clothes and boxed up the rest of my room and stayed the night in the old house one last time. I get attached to things like that and with some unexpected changes that happened lately, I had a moment of tears.
Friday after work my parents and the Farmer's came to Tulsa to help move me. Thank goodness for good people like the Farmer's. After the move, I met up with some friends and went out on the town to the Caravan. If you have never been to the Caravan in Tulsa, you need to go. It is magnificent. Boot-scootin and a little hip-hop mixed in.
2. I went bowling and to the arcade for 5 hours.
It was some of the most fun times I have had in a long time. Note the pictures below and you will see why it was so much fun. It was raining and we were supposed to go to the lake but instead we acted like 12 year olds all day.
3. Dinner and drinks.
Saturday night after bowling, I had dinner and drinks with some people. I was already exhausted from the move, bowling, arcade.
4. Sunday: Fourth of July.
I am delirious tired now and Sammi and I headed out for lunch and tried to find anywhere that was open that day. A long, delicious lunch and then a nap before the rest of the festitvies.
5. Cookout at Ozzie's parents house.
It was muggy, hot, and I was tired. We ate delicious food and watched some people play horseshoes and volleyball. Thanks to one idiot girl, Sammi and I ended up leaving a little earlier than planned. We rounded up Billy, Jena, and James and hit up yet another bar for the weekend. Sunday night and I am at the bar. And I have slept maybe 10 hours in 3 days. And I moved in and abandoned my house.
6. Pool day at Billy's
Billy lives about 728 ft from me now. Literally, he does, I googled it. So Billy likes to just walk in the back door a lot. This weekend I ended up with Billy's dip, guitar and sweatshirt all at my house. Anyway, the troops barged in my back door around 11 and dragged me to the pool. Spent all day by the pool laughing hysterically with friends.
7. Dinner and renting Iron Man
Dinner at Chili's (yum) and watched Iron Man. I know it has been out a while but I am a little behind on these things. Robert Downey Jr ain't half bad lookin either.
So to sum things up, I spent my weekend running around like a chicken with my head cut off, didn't unpack nearly the amount I thought I would but yet still had one of the best weekends of my life.
On to of all that, I have this weird virus thing where my lips break out in blisters, get red, hurt and then peel. This has been going on almost 3 weeks. I think they are on the mend now but it has been miserable. Tuesday morning I woke up with a fever. Last night I had a fever again. I feel like a 2 yr old that is sickly, cranky, tired and needs a diaper change.
It's already Hump Day and I get to see my nieces this weekend. Sweet joy!
