Lately I cannot get enough of online browsing for clothing. This should come as no surprise as I have mentioned before my love for shopping. Anytime an event or trip is planned, my first thought is "what will I wear".
Obviously I will need tons of new clothing for wedding related events in the near future. Bridal showers, bachelorette parties, bridal luncheon, rehearsal dinner, brunch, honeymoon. That alone is enough to make me go broke.
But before all that wonderfulness takes place, I have a trip to Montana that I need to plan for. The peeps out in Montana are not too much into fashion and we are doing several outdoors activities (horseback riding, Yellowstone) that I need proper attire for. I don't even know what to wear to go horseback riding! I at least know I need to wear pants. But I don't want to wear jeans. I also don't want to wear jeans to Yellowstone. So agenda item #1 on the list is to find some alternative to jeans. I have plenty of shirts I can wear. A basic v-neck is always ready to go in my closet. Kyle and I both need new tennis shoes (does anyone else call them that?) for the trip. I may try to hit up Marshall's this weekend and see if I strike gold there. Old Navy had some really cute causal pants online but I didn't buy them in time and now they are out of stock.
And we need to pick out a first birthday present for Henry. I can't wait to see that little guy.
Aaaaannnnnd we are taking some engagement photos out there and we will need outfits for that.
Last weekend I went to Edmond to watch the last soccer games and then to babysit while B&E went to a birthday party. I love getting to spend one-on-one time with the girls. Now that Lauren is 8 years old, we engage in almost adult conversation and I am still adjusting to that. I miss her being my little doll baby. Lauren and I spent some time on the internet looking for flower girl dresses. She is defintely related to me because a) she wanted to do this almost immediately after her parents left and b) she has very specific ideas of what she wants to wear.
Jordyn changed into a dress and wanted to take pictures. Something I am always game for. Allison was entertaining herself on the Wii and then we ordered pizza and watched Mr. Popper's Penguins.
Our Memorial Day has become jam-packed. We had no plans 2 weeks ago, and now we haven't something planned every day of the weekend. Tonight we are eating dinner in and watching a movie in preparation of the busy weekend.
Ah, the months leading up to the big day. Such fun! Soak it all in and shop your bootie off! And I recommend Kiddlestix (38th-ish and Harvard) for a bday present for Mr. Henry... tons of unique items there.
ReplyDeleteAnd engagement pics in Montana?! Gorgeous!
